"Age of Armor" presents sixty exceptional works of art dating from the late Middle Ages through the Renaissance, including seven full suits of armor. From an elegant infantryman’s breastplate hammered by Milanese master artisans to elaborately etched and gilded horse armor from Southern Germany, "Age of Armor" showcases the compatibility of function and aesthetics – and offers a peek behind the romantic tales and historical chronicles of knights in shining armor.

Dressed in period costume, Renaissance courtier Lady Anne Bacon (Christine Brookes) retells the ancient tales of King Arthur with all the action, adventure, romance, mystery, and magic found in the most popular novel of her time, Le Morte d’ Arthur. Lady Bacon’s stirring stories of chivalry and combat will entertain and inspire “nobles and commoners” alike. Christine is a teacher and performer from Lake Geneva who brings history and literature to life for lucky audiences. Held in conjunction with the exhibition "Age of Armor," on view through June 22. |

The workshop will be offered May 8 and May 9 from 8 am to 4:30 pm and will use a combination of lecture, discussion and hands-on case studies to ensure understanding and insights that can immediately be applied in the workplace. Topics covered include: Financial Statement Concepts, Cash Flow and Financial Analysis, Capital Budgeting and Profit Center Management.

Ballroom Dance Classes - Wausau

| Ballroom dance lessons, with Dee Heil, at the Wausau YMCA location from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The classes are every Monday beginning May 5th. The first hour will be a Beginners class. The second hour will be an Intermediate Cha Cha class. The cost per night is $8.35 for members and $10.85 for non members. If you choose to attend the classes on both Monday and Wednesday then the cost per night is $12.50 for members and $15.00 for non members. Singles and couples are welcome.
